Pediatric Psychology

Pediatric Psychology addresses problems related to pediatric health conditions, such as; adherence to treatment regimens, psychosocial adjustment to chronic illness, and negative behaviors in response to a medical condition or treatment. Pediatric Psychology also offers treatment for such disorders as ADHD, OCD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Enuresis, Encopresis, school problems, infant feeding disorders, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, selective mutism, etc.

Diagnosis and treatment may require psychological/developmental assessments including assessment for disturbances in areas of functioning, such as ADHD; monitoring the progression of an illness or disease process; tracking recovery from an illness or injury; development of intervention programs based on current assessment functioning; description of the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes that will impact the child’s functioning in school, work, and social situations and includes recommendations about a child’s need for supervision or other environmental accommodation  and guidance to parents and guardians on life decisions (e.g., school placement).

If your child is facing any of these issues, please contact me so that together we can assist your child in addressing these challenges so that they will continue to grow and learn and reach their full potential in life.
